Project "Artifacts"

"Artifacts" is a multi-media performance by composer Kurt Rohde, visual artist Frances McCormack and the writer Sue Moon.  It premiered at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in October 2012 and was performed at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art in 2016.

"The work plays with the idea of time, the reconstruction of memories, the discovery of objects from the past, and the way we change the meaning of these objects as time goes by," explains Rohde. "My intention is to synthesize the music, images and text into a work that combines subtle dramatic and theatrical elements with a rich and engrossing musical narrative."
